Several local churches have Thanksgiving activities scheduled.
Marion Baptist Church on Crisfield Highway in Marion Station will hold its annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner Saturday, Nov. 21 beginning 11 a.m. and serving until 2 p.m. or until the dinners are gone. This is free to the public and will be served in the church hall or available for carry-out.
If you cannot drive to the church or need a delivery please call before Friday, Nov. 20, 410-623-3306 and leave your name, address and phone number and number of dinners required to arrangements can be made. A confirmation call will be returned that Friday evening.
In Princess Anne, the annual Community Thanksgiving Service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23 at Antioch United Methodist Church on Somerset and Antioch avenues. The public of all faiths are welcome to attend. The Rev. Tina Whaley is host pastor.
On Thanksgiving Day, Crisfield’s First Baptist will be making deliveries of turkey dinners to those who have by this date already made a reservation. If you are receiving a dinner please be home when the volunteers arrive.
Also on Thanksgiving Day, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on Church and Washington streets in Princess Anne will hold a service at 10 a.m., Nov. 26. Fr. Rob Laws is rector.
The following Monday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. with be the Feast of St. Andrew evensong service and pot luck dinner following. Call 410-651-2882 for more details.
