Christine "Cricket" Martin
MADISON HEIGHTS, Va. - Christine "Cricket" Martin, 79, died April 25, 2007, at the Summit in Lynchburg, Va.
She was born Jan. 2, 1928, to William and Daisy (Aliff) Balsley in Richmond, Va.
Mrs. Martin was a retired cafeteria manager for the Amherst County Public School System and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Warren Campbell and wife, Sharon, of Westminster, Jack Campbell and wife, Martha, of Lynchburg, Va. and Mike Campbell of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; two daughters, Andrea Romaker and husband, Roger of Warrenton, Mo., and Julile Patton and husband, Ted, of Forest, Va,; one brother, Robert Balsley of Richmond, Va.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard T. Martin; and by her parents.
Services were April 28 at Whitten Monelison Chapel in Madison Heights, Va. with burial at Briarwood Memorial Gardens in Amherst, Va.
Memorials may be to the American Diabetes Association.
Mrs. Martin had many great friends in the Cambridge area during her stay there.
