SALISBURY - Carol S. Humphrey died Thursday, June 14, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Weston, W.Va., her parents were the late Virginia Marie Simons Shobe and Marion B. Shobe. She was dedicated to serving the lower four counties at MAC Inc., as Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) Program Director. She provided one-on-one assistance and provided face-to-face counseling to those in need and their families. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Humphrey; her sons, A. Bobby Hooks Jr. and Billy Allen Hooks; five grandchildren; siblings, Opal Izetta Christy of Pocomoke City, Linda S. Jones of Oak Hall and Roger L. Shobe of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Marion B. Shobe Jr. and Ronald S. Shobe. A memorial service was held on Friday, June 22, 2018, at MAC Inc. in Salisbury. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
