Carl H. Parkinson

SALISBURY -- Carl H. Parkinson, 71, of Salisbury, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Genesis Nursing Home surrounded by his family. Raised in Mount Vernon, he was the son of the late Clifford K. Parkinson Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Jones Parkinson. He worked for Dresser-Wayne Industries for 35 years and at Eastern Correctional Institution as a correctional officer. He was a member of Siloam House of Fellowship and past member of the Power Squadron. He is survived by his wife, Mona Parkinson; stepson, Joey Tingle; a grandson; a sister, Anne Holland; several nieces and nephews; and a half-sister, Eva Chin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Clifford K. Parkinson Jr. A Celebration of Life was held Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
