Carey Lamont Fields

Carey Lamont Fields, 45

MARION STATION - Carey Lamont Fields, 45, son of James and Bernice Henderson of Marion and the late Edgar Smith, was called to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at McCready Memorial Hospital.

Carey was born Aug. 31, 1962, in Salisbury. He attended Somerset County schools. Before his illness, Carey was employed with Jesse Taylor Seafood in Washington.

Carey was affectionately called "Micey" or "Field Mice." Some of his closest friends called him "Lamont." Carey was a joy to be around. He was full of life with a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories his parents, James and Bernice Henderson of Marion; three brothers, James (Renocks) Henderson Jr. of Salisbury, Charles (Romaine) Henderson of Crisfield and Clifton Marshall of New Church; six sisters, Vanessa Henderson of Charlotte, N.C., Consola Johnson of New Castle, Del., Lisa Henderson of Salisbury, and Mary Fields, Linda Evans and Hope (Corey) Fontaine, all of Marion; several aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday at noon at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Marumsco, Md. The Rev. Bernadette Beckett officiated.

Funeral services were entrusted to Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Princess Anne.
