PRESTON - Betty Jane Johnson, 90,passed away on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Ruxton Health of Denton.
She was born Dec. 5, 1916, in Deer River, Minn., the daughter of the late Waitman George Dolby and Florence Agnes Murtey Dolby.
She had worked as a care provider for the elderly and had been employed by the state of Maryland for 13 years in the transportation of patients. She was a former member of Park Lane Church of God in Federalsburg. She was very capable in restoration of homes and was gifted in craft work. She was a "jack of all trades" and master of all she put her hands to.
She is survived by three children, Donna F. Boyden of Hurlock, Sharon Lee Johnson of Williamstown, N.J., and Noel J. Johnson of Preston; four grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Robinson of Federalsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Frank W. Johnson, and a sister, Isabelle Dorman Wright, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Framptom Funeral Home, P.A. with the Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomery Cemetery in Smithville. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
