Bettie Lee Biscoe, 99
SALISBURY, Md. - Bettie Lee Biscoe passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Coastal Hospice @ The Lake. Born in Sharptown, Md., she was the daughter of the late William T. and Mary (Russell) Sauerhoff.
She grew up in Wilmington, Del. and would later move to Salisbury with her husband Edward M. Biscoe, Sr. and their first son, Eddie, in 1948. She worked as a bookkeeper in the family business, Sauerhoff Cadillac, and later, T's Markets, until her retirement in 1987. After retirement, she enjoyed spending her days watching the river from her favorite chair, which she did until the end of a well-lived life.
Bettie graduated from Beacom College in Wilmington and later Salisbury State College in 1981. She was a lifelong member and the last living charter member of the Town and Country Garden Club, where she also served as past president.
She is survived by her children, William T. Biscoe (Laura) and Edward M. Biscoe, Jr. (Melanie); grandchildren, Ed, Steve, Julie, and Ashley; five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her niece, Carol Holland.
In addition to her parents and a sister; she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Biscoe, Sr.
Services will be private.
