PRINCESS ANNE — The BB&T Bank in Princess Anne was robbed Dec. 10 by the individual pictured who brought a box into the building and claimed it was a bomb.
Princess Anne Police report it happened at 9:35 a.m. and the suspect is a black male with a medium complexion who weighed around 200 pounds and is approximately 5 ft. 8 or 9 inches tall. He was wearing a white fleece half-zip pullover and dark toboggan.
There were no explosives in the box, and no one inside the bank was injured. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-651-1822.
The event caused local businesses along Mt. Vernon Road to temporarily close, and both elementary schools were put on a “Code Yellow” alert with shades pulled down and exterior doors and windows locked.
This is the second time this year that the bank was robbed, and the suspect in the February incident was turned over to federal authorities.
