PRINCESS ANNE — The UMES baseball team is holding a Prospect Camp for high school students on Sunday, Aug. 30.
The one-day event will begin with a noon check in, followed by a campus tour, instruction and evaluation. A 4:30 game will wrap up the day’s events.
Participants will be given opportunities to enhance and develop their skills through instruction by the Hawks’ baseball coaches. The camp also offers a chance for local high school products to showcase themselves in front of a Division I staff on the field of a Division I program.
The cost of the camp is $60 if purchased in advance and $85 on the day of the event. Players must bring their own equipment and lunch is not provided. A protection policy of $15 extra is also available, and those who purchase it will have their money refunded in case weather cancels the event. Only those who pay the protection fee will receive refunds.
