SALISBURY - Barbara Peterson died July 30, 2018, at Genesis Nursing Home in Salisbury. Born in New York State, she was raised in Illinois and Iowa by her adoptive parents, Lester and Lois Stanton.
She attended Cornell College, when she met her late husband. She was active in Asbury Methodist Church in Salisbury. She was at volunteer at Peninsula Regional Medical Center for 23 years and was active in P.E.O. Sisterhood Organization for many years.
She is survived by her son, Bruce Peterson; daughters, Joanne Prichystal and Debbie Bailey; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Carolyn Albaugh and Lois Richard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Peterson.
A Memorial Service will be held today, Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, at 11 a.m., at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
