SALISBURY - Barbara "Bobbie" Hurdle Phillips, 85, of Salisbury, died Monday, April 18, 2016, under the care of Coastal Hospice at Lakeside at Mallard Landing's Compass Unit. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Seth Hunter Hurdle and Eleanor Blanken Hurdle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Fuzzy" Phillips; and her sister, Patty Mitchell. She is survived by sons, Robert William Phillips Jr. and Raymond Hunter Phillips; and three grandchildren. She was a member of Wicomico Presbyterian Church and volunteered for the Wicomico County Board of Tourism, where she was awarded volunteer of the year, the Junior Board at PRMC, the Reading Program at Chipman Center and the Maryland Food Bank. She was a substitute teacher with Wicomico County, sold Real Estate for Century 21 and Bill Martin Realty and a founding member of her beloved Bridge Club. A funeral service was held Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Wicomico Presbyterian Church. Interment was in Parsons Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
