Banquet to celebrate Princess Anne pastor’s 15 years at Cambridge church

CAMBRIDGE — For 15 years Pastor Craig N. Mathies Sr. of Princess Anne has led Zion Baptist Church in Cambridge, and a dinner celebrating his service will be held Saturday, May 5 at the Delmarva Community Center, 2450 Cambridge Beltway.

Pastor Mathies along with Leading Lady Elder Clarice J. Mathies will also be celebrated in worship and praise through the week with special services on May 6-9.

Tickets for the banquet are $35 per person and the Rev. Raymond Curry, pastor of New Creations Baptist Church in Christ of Pompano Beach, Fla., will be the guest speaker. For reservations contact Bro. Harvey L. Hill Sr., 410-330-4486 or Sister Tyboria E. Banning, 410-330-0720.

On Sunday, May 6 the Youth Zionettes will celebrate their 52nd anniversary with a Youth Day program at 11 a.m. The guest preacher is the Rev. Dr. Curry.

Also that Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Pastor Carlston D. Brisco Sr. of Kingdom Church and Ministries of Cambridge will speak, and on May 7-9 the Rev. Dr. Michael T. Scott Sr. of Galilee Baptist Church of Kalamazoo, Mich., will be the speaker. Zion Baptist Church is located at 600 Cross Street, Cambridge.
