TODDVILLE - Arthur George Nelson, Jr. passed away at his home suddenly on March 24, 2016. Arthur Nelson, Jr. known by friends and family as "Art" was born to Arthur George Nelson, Sr. and Frances "Babe" Mary Nelson on May 13, 1948 at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore. Art loved the outdoors; he spent a lot of his time on the water fishing and crabbing with family and loved ones. Wherever he went he was followed by his faithful dog and best friend Sam. Art loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren "Remember Poppy will always love you." Art is survived by wife, Patricia Hayden; and six siblings, Kenny Nelson, Emmitt Nelson, Kathy Nelson, Peachy Nelson, Eva Dittrich, Kim Willner. Loving father to Keith Nelson, Jerry Nelson, Arthur Nelson III. Loving stepfather to Roy Meredith Jr., Tammy Meredith-White, Tony Meredith, Nicole Shorter. Very loving grandfather to Madison Nelson, Sydney Nelson, Katlyn Nelson, Jeremy Nelson, Jordon Nelson, Aubrey Dorsey, Kassie Shorter, Savannah Shorter, Haven Shorter, Ellie Nelson, Isabelle Nelson, Tony Meredith Jr., Leah Johnson, Hayden White, Brett White Jr., Roy Meredith III, Cheyanne Meredith. Predeceased by Stevie Nelson and Mikey Nelson. To my father, you showed me you do not have to live a perfect life to be a good man, and you do not need to be a perfect man to be a great dad. We will miss you and all your perfect imperfections. Always loved and never forgotten. Do to the wishes of my father no service will be held at this time. A memorial will be held at a later date.
