SUMMARY: Harrison Butker kicked a pair of field goals in overtime, including a 40-yarder as time expired, giving the Kansas City Chiefs a 33-30 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night. Patrick Mahomes threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns, Kenneth Walker III ran for 117 yards, and Travis Kelce had nine catches for 101 yards and a score for the Chiefs. The game was tied 27-all after regulation and then Butker and the Colts’ Spencer Shrader traded field goals in overtime. Kansas City had one last chance with the ball, moved swiftly down the field, and gave Butker a chance to help the Chiefs improve to 2-0 on the season.

Mike Burton, 3-time Olympic swimming champion, dies at 79 after battle with Alzheimer’s

SUMMARY: Mike Burton, a three-time Olympic swimming champion, has died. He was 79. His son, Eric, announced his death on Facebook, noting his father’s battle with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Burton was the first American to win gold in the 1,500-meter freestyle at consecutive Olympics, achieving the feat in 1968 and 1972. He set a world record in Munich. His achievements were overshadowed by teammate Mark Spitz’s seven gold medals and a terrorist attack on the athletes’ village. Burton was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 1977. He later coached swimming teams in Iowa, Washington, and Montana.

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels dislocates his left elbow for the second time in less than a year

SUMMARY: Jayden Daniels has dislocated his left elbow again. He was hurt Sunday, less than a year after the previous injury that sidelined the Washington Commanders quarterback most of the second half of last season. Coach Dan Quinn said imaging showed the dislocation but no fracture for Daniels, who was taken off the field on a cart at the end of the first half of Commanders’ 37-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Daniels dislocated the elbow in a blowout loss to Seattle last season. That injury occurred when Daniels used his non-throwing arm while trying to brace himself, and the same thing happened against the Cowboys.

Manchester United left it late to salvage a 1-1 draw at Fulham and avoid three straight defeats in all competitions. Alexander Isak scored his fourth goal of the season as Liverpool beat Bournemouth 1-0. Leeds and Crystal Palace drew 0-0.

Texas A&M fell to No. 23 after losing to Kentucky.

Longtime NFL executive Ernie Accorsi dies at 84

SUMMARY: Longtime NFL executive Ernie Accorsi has died. He was 84. The New York Giants announced his death along with his family. Accorsi went from public relations in the league office in the 1970s before rejoining the Baltimore Colts as assistant general manager and getting the GM job in 1982. The Hershey, Pennsylvania, native, worked in that role with the Cleveland Browns and then the Giants, building the core that won the Super Bowl in the 2007 season. He is a member of the team’s ring of honor.
