UK police reviewing rapper's anti-Israel comments at Glastonbury Festival
LONDON (AP) — British police are reviewing videos from the Glastonbury Festival after rapper Bobby Vylan of Bob Vylan led chants of “death to the IDF” or Israel Defense Forces and “free Palestine” on Saturday. Avon and Somerset Police are assessing whether any criminal offenses occurred. The Israeli Embassy and U.K. Health Secretary Wes Streeting condemned the remarks. Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has discussed the incident with the BBC, which aired the performance with a warning about discriminatory language. Irish-language rap group Kneecap also performed despite criticism by British politicians and a terror charge for one of the trio over his alleged support for Hezbollah.

NEW YORK (AP) — Jurors are set to begin deliberations in the sex trafficking and racketeering trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs. A federal judge in New York City is expected to instruct jurors Monday morning before sending them off to decide the music mogul's fate. During the seven-week trial, jurors heard from 34 witnesses. Fans criticize Beyoncé for shirt calling Native Americans 'the enemies of peace'
A T-shirt worn by Beyoncé during a Juneteenth performance on her Cowboy Carter tour has caused a wave of criticism for the Houston-born pop star. The T-shirt worn during a concert in Paris featured images of the Buffalo Soldiers, who belonged to Black U.S. Army units active during the late 1800s and early 1900s. On the back was a lengthy description of the soldiers that included “their antagonists were the enemies of peace, order and settlement: warring Indians, bandits, cattle thieves, murderous gunmen, bootleggers, trespassers, and Mexican revolutionaries.” Several Native influencers, performers, and academics took to social media this week to criticize Beyoncé or decry the shirt's language as anti-Indigenous.
Why is Rihanna in Belgium this weekend? Hint: Smurfs
BRUSSELS (AP) — Rihanna has attended the world premiere of the new Smurf movie in Brussels. She produced the film and voices Smurfette in this hybrid reboot, which follows a mission to rescue Papa Smurf. At the premiere on Saturday, the visibly pregnant singer interacted with children and posed with a Smurf character. Director Chris Miller and cast members including James Corden and Dan Levy also attended. A Belgian artist created the Smurfs and the Belgian capital celebrated its Smurf heritage with themed events. The premiere took place near the Smurf museum. The iconic Mannekin Pis statue was dressed as a Smurf.
At Hermès, woven leather and quiet confidence set the tone for Paris menswear
PARIS (AP) — Much of Paris Fashion Week chased spectacle. But Hermès chose a different path. Artistic director Véronique Nichanian unveiled a Summer 2026 men’s collection on Saturday that spoke in a language of quiet strength, deep craft and calm luxury. Models walked beneath soaring mirrors in sharply cut jackets, high-waisted woven leather trousers and sleeveless tops. They're pieces that fused house tradition with a modern and easy sensuality. Nichanian’s colors were cool and exact. Coffee, slate, taupe and beige. Each one was a lesson in subtlety. There was no shouting here. Only precision. What made the collection powerful was its restraint.
David Koepp is Hollywood's go-to scribe. He's back with a fresh start for 'Jurassic World Rebirth'
NEW YORK (AP) — In the 32 years since penning “Jurassic Park,” David Koepp has established himself as one of Hollywood’s top screenwriters not through the boundlessness of his imagination but by his expertise in limiting it. Koepp is the master of the “bottle” movie — films hemmed in by a single location or condensed timed frame. From David Fincher’s “Panic Room” to Steven Soderbergh’s “Presence," he excels at corralling stories into uncluttered, headlong movie narratives. Koepp can write anything, as long as there are parameters. “Jurassic World Rebirth” is a fresh start for one of Hollywood’s biggest multi-billion-dollar franchises. But just as he did 32 years ago, Steven Spielberg turned to Koepp to write it.
Music Review: Lorde enters 'Virgin' territory on her liberated, physical pop album
NEW YORK (AP) — Fans of the New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde have long commended the artist for her visceral pop craft. To them, her music sounds like freedom. On her new album, “Virgin,” it is as if Lorde is able to hear that freedom, too, writes The Associated Press music writer Maria Sherman in her review. “Virgin” is Lorde’s first studio album in four years. She’s now writing pop hits devoid of any anxious filtering. Musically, “Virgin” threads the needle from her 2017 synth-pop album “Melodrama” to the current moment. And thematically, Lorde’s never been more fluid and feral than on “Virgin,” in her descriptions of gender experience and sexual autonomy.

‘Kisses yes, Bezos No,’ protesters say, as Bezos wedding bonanza stirs controversy in Venice
VENICE, Italy (AP) — Protesters in Venice have voiced strong opposition to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's extravagant wedding. On Saturday, hundreds marched through the city’s streets, criticizing the billionaire’s celebration as exploitative while residents face overtourism, high housing costs, and climate challenges. The couple’s three-day event included a private ceremony Friday with 200 celebrity guests, such as Oprah Winfrey and Leonardo DiCaprio. Protesters accused Bezos of “greenwashing” after his donation to environmental groups. Demonstrators carried banners reading “Kisses Yes, Bezos No,” contrasting the lavish festivities with Venice’s fragile environment and struggling citizens. The city defended the event, citing Venice’s history of hosting prominent figures.
