Annie Rose Badger, 82 CAMBRIDGE - Annie Rose Badger, known as "Annie Rose," left this earthly world Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, in Dorchester General Hospital, at the young age of 82. Born Dec. 6, 1925, a native of Nassawdox, Va., to the late Jesse L. Badger Sr. and Madge Collins Badger. Annie was educated in Dorchester County. She was employed at Bon's Laundry, Phillips Packing Co., and retired from Coldwater Seafood. Most of her life she was a steadfast member of United Missionary Baptist Church, Phillips St. Before her passing she was affiliated with Kingdom Family Worship Center Apostles Gaskins of Salisbury. Ms. Badger served as a Sunday school teacher, missionary secretary, choir member, usher, caregiver feeder, and volunteer at the Lutheran Mission Society in Cambridge. She is survived by Algie Wheatley Sr. of Boston, Mass., Singleton Badger Riley (Darryle) of South Carolina, Joyce Redmond Opher, James Redmond Jr. (Hattie Regina), and Larry Badger Bey (Wanda) of Cambridge. Her legacy consists of 19 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; a special sister, Rudy Lee Woolford; and ten special adopted children. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Trusty; brothers, Isiah and Jesse Badger Jr.; and a daughter, Rosemary Wheatley Merritt. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Bethel A.M.E. Church, with viewing one hour prior. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery. Arrangements by Boardley Funeral Home.
