CRISFIELD - Anna C. Ward, 94, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.
Born on Rhodes Point, Smith Island, on Dec. 10, 1912, she was a daughter of the late James and Amanda Evans Sneade. Her husband, M. Ewing Ward, died June 21, 1978.
A retired employee of several former garment factories, she was a faithful member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield. There, she was active in Circle #1, United Methodist Women, and the Wharton-Pollyanna Sunday school class.
She is survived by her son, James M. "Jimmy" Ward of Crisfield; nieces, Lois and Wanda Marie; nephews, Will and Hubert; and several cousins.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Evans and Adelaide Middleton; one brother, Wilson Sneade, and a nephew, Frankie Tyler.
Funeral services were held Oct. 14 at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield. The Rev. Bill Davis officiated. Burial followed in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Immanuel U. M. Church Memorial Fund, c/o Robert H. Bradshaw, Jr., 306 W. Main St., Crisfield, Maryland 21817.
Arrangements were in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield.
