DELMAR - Alma Lee Smith died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Delmar, she was a daughter of the late Doda and I. Pearl Hearn. She grew up on Elizabeth Street in Delmar and was a member and Sunday School teacher of Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Delmar. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Adah Chapter No. 5. She worked as branch manager of the Bank of Delmar, Pine Knoll Branch. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo Moore, of Delmar; and a niece and nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Ross Marvel Smith; a daughter, Frances Anne "Frannie" Smith; sisters, Jean Livingston and Dolly Anne Brittingham; and brothers, Edward Hearn and Robert Hearn. A funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at the Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Interment followed in St. Stephens Cemetery in Delmar.
