Allen C. Moore, Jr. of Dover, Delaware, passed away Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025, at home.
He was born August 4th, 1943, in Dover, Delaware, to the late Allen Cecil Moore, Sr. and Orlena H. Moore.
Mr. Moore dedicated over 30 years as the Delaware Fire Marshall. He was an avid sports fan, rooting for the Eagles and Phillies, he also enjoyed coaching and playing softball as well. He loved NASCAR and dirt racing, but his number one love was his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Bruce Moore and grandson, Timothy Benedict.
Mr. Moore is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Beatrice Moore; his children, Jeff (Lorri) Moore, and Kim Johnson; his grandchildren, David Moore, Matthew Moore, Megan Johnson, and Joshua Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Bryson, Carson, and Jaden.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Tuesday February 4th, 2025, at Robbin’s Hose Co., 103 S Governors Ave., Dover, Delaware. Friends and family may gather one hour prior.
Interment will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, Delaware.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Dover Fire Department or Delaware Hospice.
