CRISFIELD - Alfred E. Stewart, 59, of Crisfield, died Oct. 14, 2013, at the Perry Point VA Medical Center. Born June 4, 1954, he was the son of Thomas H. Ward Sr. and the late Marlene Stewart Evans. He was educated in Somerset County and later served in the U.S. Army. He was married to the late Carolyn Murray Stewart. He leaves behind two children, Ryan Stewart and Ashley Cannon; two stepchildren, Angelia and Monique Murray; three brothers, Alphonzo Stewart, Alfred Corbin (Caselena) and Wallace Ward (Yvonne); six sisters, Angnette Stewart, Helen Fontaine, Angel Collins (Alphonzo), Fayetta Corbin, Sharon Stratton (Stephen) and Ernestine Corbin; his best friend, Upshur Bacon; and other relatives and friends. In addition to his mother and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marcella Stewart; and brothers, Terry Stewart Jones, Waldo Ward and Thomas Ward, Jr. Funeral services were held October 19, 2013 at the Anthony E. Ward Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Interment was private.
