SALISBURY - Agnes G. Wanex, 91, died on Friday, May 30, 2008 at The Salisbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born Aug. 30, 1916 in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late George G. and Gertrude Allen Hurley. After attending public school, she married John Henry Wanex Sr. in September 1934. They made their home in Cambridge, Federalsburg, Easton and Salisbury prior to returning to Easton in 1965.

From 1971-1987 she worked as a Patient Aide, both in private homes and at Easton Memorial Hospital. Mr. Wanex died July 1, 1998.

She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Easton.

Mrs. Wanex is survived by three sons, John H. Wanex Jr. of Berlin, David A. Wanex of Woodstock and James L. Wanex of Salisbury; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Phillip D. Wanex who died in August of 1970; three sisters; seven brothers; and one granddaughter, Lori A. McCoy.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., Easton, MD where friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery, Easton, MD.
