Ada Mae Laird

Ada Mae Laird, 82

CRISFIELD - Ada Mae Laird, 82, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 9, 2007, from Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield where she had been a resident for several years.

Born in Crisfield on June 17, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Lucious and Mamie Pestridge Lewis.

She was a retired clerk, working 27 years at the former W. T. Grant Co. and 11 years at the former Carvel Hall Cutlery. She had been a faithful member of the Crisfield Church of God all her life.

She was a devoted wife, and was great at everything she did in the eyes of her husband.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, John William Laird Jr. of Crisfield; her sister, Myrtle Parkinson of Crisfield; her brother, Lawrence Lewis and his wife Rae of Milford, Del.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held April 12 at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. The Rev. Philip Morris officiated and was assisted by the Rev. Samuel Horner. Burial was in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
