SALISBURY - Abdellahy "Abby" Abdelbaset died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at his home. Born in Aswan, Egypt, he was the son of Abdelbaset Mohammed and Zeneb Hassen.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Abdelbaset; a son, Jamal A. Abdelbaset of Vermont; two daughters, Leila M. Riggin and Nora Z. Craig, both of Salisbury; and four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Abby was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara E. Abdelbaset; and a sister, Wazifa.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at 4 p.m. at Church of God of Prophecy, 208 Tilghman Road, Salisbury. Pastor Joel Beiler and Pastor Jason Miltz will officiate.
Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
