EWELL — The 129th Smith Island Camp Meeting will be held Sunday, July 26 through Sunday, Aug. 2 at the Wilson-Butler Tabernacle in Ewell. Darlene Parks, who joined the camp committee in 1987, is camp committee chair.
This year, Pastor LeBron Palmer of Living Hope Ministries will be kicking off the services preaching the opening service at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Bryan Tyler will be preaching at each service through Friday at 7 p.m. There will be no services Saturday. Music will be by the John Wesley United Methodist Church Choir, Bryan and Sandy Tyler, Donna Rae Cannon, Frank “Hoot” Pruitt and Brad Kraus on trumpet and drums.
On Sunday, Aug. 2, Living Hope’s Youth Pastor, David Evans Jr. will preach the concluding message at the 10:30 a.m. service. On the final Sunday at 2 p.m. and that evening The McKamey Family will be sing give a Southern Gospel concert to conclude the entire Camp Meeting event.
