PUBLIC NOTICE PROPOSED CEDAR CREEK STATION EXPANSION OF THE SUSSEX COUNTY UNIFIED SANITARY SEWER DISTRICT (ELLENDALE AREA) FILE NUMBER: ELS-8.03 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Sussex County Council voted on July 14, 2026, to consider extending the boundary of the Sussex County Unified Sanitary Sewer District (SCUSSD), (Ellendale Area), to include one parcel on the west side of DuPont Boulevard (Rt. 113) and west of the Town of Ellendale, being situate in Cedar Creek Hundred, Sussex County, Delaware. This action is in conformity with 9 Del. C §6502. A description of the area, which is contiguous to and to be added to the SCUSSD is described as follows: Beginning at a point, said point being on the Sussex County Unified Sanitary Sewer District (SCUSSD) boundary, said point also being on the westerly Right-of-Way (ROW) of DuPont Boulevard (Rt. 113), said point further being on a property corner of lands Now-or-Formerly (N/F) of Six Green Lands, LLC; thence proceeding by and with said SCUSSD boundary and Six Green Lands, LLC in a westerly direction a distance of 537’± to a point, said point being the northwesterly property corner of lands N/F of Sunset Cove LLC; thence leaving said sewer district boundary and continuing by and with said Six Green Lands in a westerly, northeasterly, southwesterly and southeasterly direction respectively a total distance of 1396’± to a point, said point being on the northerly ROW of Beach Highway (Rt. 16); thence proceeding by and with said ROW and Six Green Lands, LLC property in a westerly direction a distance of 1331’± to a point, said point being on the northerly ROW of Webbs Road (SCR 43); thence leaving said Beach Highway ROW and proceeding by and with said Webbs Road ROW and continuing with said Six Green Lands, LLC property in a northwesterly direction a distance of 1460’± to a point, said point being the southeasternmost property corner of lands N/F of Kathryn K. South; thence leaving said ROW and continuing with said Six Green Lands, LLC lands in the following seven (7) directions and distances, (1) northeasterly 497’±, (2) northwesterly 200’±, (3) northeasterly 640’±, (4) northerly 982’±, (5) northwesterly 168’±, (6) northeasterly 1,773’±, (7) southeasterly 2,313’± to a point, said point being on the westerly ROW of DuPont Boulevard (Rt. 113); thence proceeding by and with said ROW and continuing with said Six Green Lands in a southerly direction a distance of 2,130’± to a point, said point being that place of Beginning. NOTE: The above description has been prepared using Sussex County Tax Map 230-26.00 and Sussex County property assessment records. The annexation contains 189 acres more or less. A map outlining and describing the extension of the SCUSSD is attached. The area involved is crosshatched. The public hearing will be held on this issue at 1:30 p.m. on September 22, 2026, in the Sussex County Council Chambers, County Administrative Offices, 2 The Circle, Georgetown, Delaware. All interested persons, officials, residents, voters, taxpayers, property owners, or corporations in any way affected by this boundary extension are welcome to attend. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers. The Sussex County Council following the hearing, at one of their regularly scheduled meetings, will make the final decision on the boundary extension.
