“HOUSING REHABILITATION BIDS” Sealed bids will be received by the Sussex County Community Development and Housing Department for the rehabilitation of homes throughout Sussex County. General Contractors wishing to bid on the work must be on the Approved Contractors List. Forms to register for the Approved Contractors List are available by contacting the Sussex County Community Development and Housing Department. Contractors must be active on www.SAM.gov and be registered with the Delaware Department of Labor. All necessary bid documents will be available at the pre-bid meeting, which will be held at the Sussex County Government Administrative Offices, West Complex, located at 22215 DuPont Boulevard, Georgetown, Delaware. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is mandatory for bidding eligibility. Bid packages will not be available to anyone arriving after the official start of the meeting. Bids are especially invited from Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Woman Business Enterprises (WBE), and Veteran Business Enterprises (VBE). All bids shall be sealed and labeled with the contractor’s business name. Bids to include Bid Return Form, individual proposal for each job, and contractor’s business license and proof of insurance. Bids shall be submitted within 14 days to the Sussex County Community Development and Housing office located at the Sussex County Administrative Offices, West Complex, 22215 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, Delaware, where they will be publicly opened and recorded. The Sussex County Community Development office reserves the right to reject any bids for cause and to waive irregularities in the bid documents.
