PRINCESS ANNE - Woodford Earl Dorsey, 70, of Princess Anne died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born in Upper Fairmount on May 2, 1937, he was a son of Lucy Mae Holland Dykes and the late Milford "Biddy" Dorsey.

He had worked as a painter for Thomas Ruark Builders and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was also an avid sports and NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beatrice "Faye" Dorsey; children, Debbie Shockley and husband, Lee, of Fruitland, Danny and Tricia Dorsey of Mardela Springs and Dale and Nicki Dorsey of Kingston; six grandchildren; a brother, Wallace Dorsey and his wife, Audrey, of Salisbury; a sister, Joyce Ann Lemon of Salisbury; a sister?in?law Sue Dorsey of Salisbury; several nieces and one nephew; special friends, Tommy and Charlene Linton of Crisfield; and a special dog, Precious.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Dorsey.

A funeral service was held at noon Thursday at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne.
