Powellville - William G. Moore, 65, of Powellville, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015. Born in Salisbury he was the son of the late Jerome and Florence Welch Moore. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a self-employed master carpenter. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He was proceeded in death by his sister, Mary Ellen Hastings. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sharon Shortt-Moore; a daughter, Sherri Fitzgerald of Berlin; step-children Don Shortt of Berlin, Lisa Phillips of Laurel and Roxie Shortt-Lewis of Parsonsburg; siblings, Betty Morton, Donald Moore, Irene Moore; five stepgrandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
