Roberts, Jr., 82 SALISBURY - Willard Maxwell (Willie, Scootsie) Roberts, Jr., 82, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at Aurora Senior Living of Manokin of Princess Anne. Born in Jesterville, he was the son of the late Willard Sr. and Sarah (Wigfall) Roberts. His wife, Louise W. Roberts died August 26, 2013. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, receiving an honorable discharge in 1961. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post No. 10159 and the LaMach Lodge No. 30, F&AM, P.H.A., both of Salisbury, where he served as Past Master. He was a member of Wesley Temple United Methodist Church in Salisbury where he served as a member of the United Methodist Men, the men's choir and other committees in the church. He was employed for more than 18 years at the former Castleberg's Jewelry Store in Salisbury. Upon his retirement, he was a director for the Maryland Food Bank. He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Anderson of Galloway, N.J.; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister, Bessie Green of Salisbury; a nephew and two nieces. A funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at Wesley Temple United Methodist Church. A private interment will be held in the Eastern Shore Veteran's Cemetery in Hurlock. Arrangements are by Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury.
