CAMBRIDGE — JoAnn Hansen, executive director of Habitat for Humanity Choptank, spoke to the Rotary Club of Cambridge about Habitat and the work they are doing in the Cambridge/Dorchester community. With a proven process for selecting families, once selected they are required to give hours of work on their future home. It, also, requires volunteer hours from the community.

JoAnn has been with Habitat for 18 months but brings more than 20 years of nonprofit administration and management experience. Prior to joining Habitat, Ms. Hansen was the CEO of the Dorchester County Family YMCA. She brought a strong business development background to Habitat with extensive experience in fundraising, budgeting, program development and marketing to the job.

Rhodana Fields, Neighborhood Revitalization manager for Habitat, joined JoAnn to speak to the Rotary membership. Rhodana manages both new and rehab projects for Habitat as well as weatherization and repair programs for Talbot and Dorchester counties.
