CAMBRIDGE — Ashley C. Watkins, a native of Cambridge, will present “Holiday Magic” at the Dorchester Center for the Arts on High Street in Cambridge at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Most recently she performed for a full audience in August receiving two standing ovations and an invitation to return. Tickets can be obtained by calling the Dorchester Arts Center in Cambridge.
Ashley is a 2003 honors graduate from Cambridge-South Dorchester High School. She received an undergraduate degree in music performance on Flute from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. in 2007; and a graduate degree in music performance on flute from Akron University in Akron, Ohio in 2010 under George Pope, a well-respected and renowned instructor of flute repertoire.
Ashley has performed in many locations and venues on the East Coast and seeks to expand her music career as a performing artist on flute. Her talent has been proclaimed by many as technically efficient and lyrically extraordinary.
