Wade H. Bradley, 82

SECRETARY - Wade Hampton Bradley, of Secretary, died on March 21, 2009, in Mallard Bay Center in Cambridge. He was 82. Born on May 5, 1926, he was the son of the late Roland Bradley and Olive Abey Bradley. Mr. Bradley worked as a truck driver for Todd Trucking, then Cambridge Wire Cloth, and later A. W. Sisk & Son. He was a member of VFW Post 7460 in Cambridge and Hurlock American Legion Post 243. He collected trains, die cast tractors, and loved working in his garden year round. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Elizabeth Bradley of Secretary; three sons, Roland W. Bradley and his wife Sherry of Secretary, Spencer Bradley of East New Market, Dwight L. Bradley and his wife Brenda of Vienna; a daughter, Frances O. Willey and her husband Randy of Vienna; two grandchildren, Jennifer Bradley and Jason Bradley; a great-grandchild, Madison Horsman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Sydney Nicole Bramble. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today, March 25, 2009, at the Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Mr. David Tolley will officiate. Burial will follow in East New Market Cemetery. Dwight L. Bradley, Spencer Bradley, Jason Bradley, Randy Willey, Ryan Horsman, and Allan Kenton will serve as pallbearers. Memorial donations may be made to Secretary Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 56, Secretary, MD 21664 or to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 13067, Alexandria, VA 22312, or to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
