SALISBURY - W. Mark Smith of Salisbury, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, surrounded by family and grandchildren. Born in Shad Point, he was the son of the late Wallace and Blanche Fields Smith. He was a resident of Pine Bluff Village. He began working in 1949 for Central Electrical Supply Co., now Branch Electrical Supply Co., he worked for over 37 years, retiring in 1986. He was a life member of Elks Lodge 817 in Salisbury. He is survived by daughters Patricia Smith of Richmond and Cheryl Redcay of Reading, Pa.; a son, Brad Smith of Salisbury; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Berniece Smith; his second wife of five years, Eloise Nelson Smith; and sisters, Margaret Wallace and Rose Lee Johnson. A memorial service was held Friday, June 10, 2016 at Holloway Funeral Home.
