Vivian Celeste Miller, 77

CAMBRIDGE - Vivian Celeste Miller, daughter of the late Charles A. Gibson and Beulah M. Gibson, departed this life on July 25, 2009, at the age of 77. Born Oct. 10, 1931, she was educated in the Talbot County Public School System and employed at the Memorial Hospital in Easton for a total of 40 years. She retired in September 1993. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Easton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Robert Ellis Miller; and two brothers, Richard "Dickie" Gibson and Tommy Gibson. She is survived by her two daughters, Wanda Adams (Joseph) and Dona Miller; seven grandchildren, Dondre' Phoenix, Dana Miller, Joel Adams (Kellee) and Durrell Miller (all of Easton), Lafenus Taylor (Baltimore), Joseph Taylor (Atlanta, Ga.) and Bejia Stanley (Bronta), Cambridge; 16 great-grandchildren; two adoptive grandchildren, Sara Lowery (Salisbury) and Tyesha Greene (Tylei), Easton; two brothers, Charles Gibson, Jr. (Virginia) and Erie Gibson (both of Easton); three sisters in-law, Hilda Douglas (Virginia Beach, Va.), Beulah Phillips (Morristown, N.J.) and Jean Miller (Easton); four brothers in-law, James Miller (Bessie), Baltimore, Charles "Vernon" Miller (Ida), Philadelphia, Pa., Vanderbilt "Buster" Miller (Mary) and Junius "Artney" Miller (Jeanette), both of Easton; two special people who were like a son, Glenn Lewis (Easton) and like a grandson, Charles Fletcher (Cambridge); a dear friend, Henry Tilghman (Princeton, N.J.) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 31, at Union Baptist Church, 223 Glenwood Ave., Easton, with a viewing two hours prior to the service. Interment in the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock.
