Virginia Lee Charnock

Charnock, 93 TANGIER, Va. - Mrs. Virginia Lee Charnock, 93, wife of the late Vaughn Wesley Charnock and a resident of Tangier, Va., passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the home of her daughter in Salisbury, Md. Born October 10, 1920 on Tangier Island, Mrs. Charnock was a daughter of the late Luther Thomas and Lily Brown Thomas. She was a homemaker, and member of the New Testament Church. Survivors include three children, Shirley Pruitt and husband Wallace of Salisbury, Edward Charnock and wife Annette, and John Charnock and wife Faith, all of Tangier; five grandchildren, Kelly Wheatley, Danielle Crockett, Jason Charnock, Amanda Parks and Troy Charnock; twelve great-grandchildren, Ashley Eskridge, Erica Parks, Jeremy Parks, Jonathan Wheatley, Hannah, Joshua and Jacob Crockett, Kylee Parks, Alona and Gavon Charnock, Emilee Parks and Rabab Charnock; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Eva Dise and Frances Warfield; and a daughter-in-law, Henrietta Charnock. She was expecting her first great-great-grandchild in September, which will be her fifth generation. Funeral services were conducted from the New Testament Church on Tangier, Thursday, May 15, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. Elder Duane Crockett and Mr. Denny Crockett officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. A visitation was held at the church, Wednesday, May 14, 2014, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the New Testament Missionary Fund, C/O Mr. Danny McCready, P.O.
