By Dave Ryan Dorchester Banner CAMBRIDGE – The Cambridge-South Dorchester Vikings’ record fell to 0-3 after a 42-0 loss at the hands of North Caroline on Friday. The Bulldogs are now 3-0. The game got off to a fast start for the visitors, with a 28-point first quarter. The flurry of touchdowns was set off in the first minute of the contest, when the Bulldogs’ David Bailey broke free for a 68-yard scoring scamper. Bailey added another TD about a minute and a half later, and it was 14-0 with 9:40 to go in the first quarter. The Vikings got the ball back but fumbled, their second in the quarter, and Bailey headed into the end zone again. C-SD punted after three plays. Two snaps later, it was Cam Brown’s time to shine, with a pass reception for a score. A touchdown at the beginning of the second quarter was the only scoring for the period. In the third quarter, a quarterback sneak with seven minutes left made it 42-0. The Vikings’ best scoring opportunity came when senior Tajh Molock took the following kickoff all the way downfield to the North Caroline 5-yard line. That long return went for nought, though, when the C-SD boys couldn’t punch it in after four tries, and turned the ball over on downs. Today, the Vikings will travel to Federalsburg to play Colonel Richardson (1-1). Game time is 6 p.m.
