CAMBRIDGE — The Cambridge-South Dorchester High School Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2019 has been named. Included are relatively recent graduates, some from decades ago, and “pioneers,” those who went to area high schools before Cambridge-South Dorchester was built.
The celebration will begin at the next home football game.

“The Hall of Fame Committee and school plan to celebrate the Class of 2019 with two events,” a statement from C-SD Athletic Director Kareem Otey said. “First, all HOF Class of 2019 Members will be recognized during halftime festivities of the Friday, October 4, football game at C-SD.

Game time is 6:30 p.m. Second, the official Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner will be held Oct. 6, at 4 p.m. at the American Legion Post 91 in Cambridge.”

Hanee Camper, C-SD, Class of 1996, Basketball — 1995 state champions; All-State Basketball Team 1994, 1995; All-Bayside Basketball Team 1994, 1995. Football — 1995 state champions; All-State Football Team 1994, 1995; All-Bayside Football Team 1994, 1995.

Pioneer Award 2019 William Jews, Mace’s Lane High School, Cambridge High School, Class of 1970 (CHS), Basketball — Led Mace’s Lane High School and Cambridge High School to Final Four; Averaged 19.7 points per game as a sophomore at MLHS; Johns Hopkins University, basketball; President/CEO - Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland, District of Columbia

Jessica Narr, C-SD, Class of 2014 valedictorian; Track and Field — 3200m, 1600m, 800m, 4x800m, 4x400m two-time state champion; 11-time regional champion; 8-time conference champion; 2014 All-Midshore Track and Field Athlete of the Year. Cross Country — Led team to 2013 state title; 4-time state medalist; 4-time regional and conference champion; 3-time All-State Cross Country Team; 4-time All-Midshore Cross Country Runner of the Year. Swimming — 200 IM, 100 Fly, 200 FR, 200 MR; 3-time state medalist; 6-time regional champion. United States Naval Academy Class of 2018, Commissioned Ensign, USN; Cross Country, Track and Field.
