The Cambridge Crab Basket Tree brightens the holidays downtown.
The Cambridge Crab Basket Tree, one of the town’s newer traditions, was officially lighted on Saturday afternoon before the Cambridge-Dorchester Christmas Parade. The C-SDHS choir, led by Melissa Slacum, entertained the growing crowd at Race and Poplar streets with holiday selections. Volunteers who worked to set up the tree were Brandon Hesson, Clayton’s Seafood, Keith Graffius, Nita Goodwin, Dean Goodwin, Trevor Goodwin, Pat Hurley, Beverly Seeberger, Brian Roche, Scott Schilling, and Bay Country Communications. Craig’s Drug Store provided space for the tree in their lot.
