Many Cambridge residents have lost sleep in the last week, as fireworks and other disruptions took place into the early morning hours.
PARENTS NEEDED: Where are the kids’ parents? They were out blasting the block with fireworks all night til exactly 4 a.m.
GANGS: These moms allow their kids to run the streets all night long, literally. Gang members allow these little boys to run with them are really trashing the neighborhood.
STAY HOME: They should be making sure their kids are in the house.
NO LIFE SKILLS: They aren’t giving the kids any kind of tools in life to be anything but an inmate. But Black lives matter. We have to start with the kids and that starts at home. It also takes a village to raise a child
NO RESPECT: They are getting on my nerves with these fireworks. The babies and I are jumping in our sleep, it’s ridiculous. And don’t get me started on the kids, cause I can’t stand their disrespect. My grandma would have whipped me if I ever talked to an adult the way these kids do. It’s crazy.
PARENTS DON’T CARE: I got up at 5 a.m. and they were still going. I’m convinced as long as those kids are not in the house, they don’t care where they are or what they’re doing. I see small kids at Cosby Avenue at 2 and 3 in the morning.
UP WITH A TODDLER: I was up all night long with a 2 year old due to fireworks
Police, emergency medical crews and firefighters have been assaulted verbally and with fireworks when responding to incidents in Cambridge.
SAW IT: This is ridiculous and has been going on for a while. I was just behind a cop car and they threw two underneath the car.
PRAYERS: They do this mess, but who do they call for emergencies? Prayers are with all police and EMS! Please stay safe. The work that all of you are doing is so much appreciated and not taken for granted in my home and family. I want to say thank you each and every one for their selfless work.
STRESS: I can’t imagine what all first responders are going through right now.
INEXCUSABLE: I saw videos of it. It was inexcusable. They were taunting to officers to come closer, yelling obscenities. It was horrific.
