COVID-19
HOMEWORK: It’s way too many people out here willing to help with whatever is needed until April 24. It’s also too much technology out here to not utilize for something worthwhile. I urge all parents to follow your school’s social media pages, utilize PowerSchool and contact the educators you know. I’m sure most will help in whatever capacity they can. Only way to get through this is to work together. This isn’t some long spring break. Keep the kids on some type of schedule and introduce some form of education each day, not just on the elementary or middle school level, but make those high school students pick up a book right now as well. Make them accountable!
I suggest that children have at least 2-3 hours a day/ 5 days a week of some type of structure and/or instruction.
HOARDING HURTS EVERYONE: Please stop the hoarding! Do you realize that you are driving the prices sky high and ultimately hurting everyone? You can go to the store everyday. The grocery stores are not going to close. The processors can not keep up. If you have a freezer full, eat it.
GLOVES ARE FOR THE PROS: For all of you I see walking around with gloves on, please stop! You are going into places touching everything and then getting into your vehicles with the dirty rubber gloves on. You have now just contaminated your cars. Leave the gloves for the medical professionals!
THE BRIGHT SIDE: Crisis and adversity bring change. Unfortunately, 911 brought negative change and loss of freedoms. Hopefully, COVID-19 will bring positive change and more people will work remotely, thus getting more people off the roads, fewer accidents, less gas consumption, less emissions, less time commuting, and more free time to support our local restaurants, bars and shops when we reopen.
THANK YOU, CPD: I don’t know whose decision it was, but thank you to all involved in taping off and closing the basketball court at Sandy Hill School. I saw the police watching it to make sure no one tore down the tape. Those kids had no idea how dangerous their games were. Please tell your teens the importance of social distancing.
THANK YOU, MR. BROMWELL: Thank you Superintendent Bromwell for understanding and showing your compassion to our seniors an families. I felt what you said and as a parent of a senior I know now that you are going to do what it takes to make sure our seniors have a proper send off. You have no idea how much that means to us and I want to say thank you.
SUPPORT FOR PRESIDENT: I just could not let DISTRUST, LACKING and PRESIDENT ASKED ABOUT VIRUS go without responding. You can keep on hating Trump but he is one of the best if not the best president we have had in a long time. I believe Kennedy would have changed parties because this Democratic Party is not like many years ago.
