SALISBURY - Thomas "Tom" H. Craige, III, died Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, with his family by his side. A son of the late Thomas H. Craige, II, and Ruth I. Craige, of Meshoppen, Pa., he graduated from East Stroudsburg University and served in the U.S. Army. He worked over 30 years for the Wicomico County Board of Education in elementary education as a PE teacher at Pemberton Elementary. He was also a Driver's Ed teacher for 10 years and coached wrestling at Wicomico High School before retiring in 1992. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shirley Craige; five daughters, Debbie Carman, Susan Ailstock, Kelley Cylc, Kerri Daye, and Kathy Craige; a son, Thomas H. Craige, IV; and a brother, Harold Craige; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Spence Baptist Church and was involved with the Santa House and After Prom. A memorial service was held Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Spence Baptist Church in Snow Hill. Interment was at Spence Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
