Theresa C. Stewart, 71
SALISBURY - Theresa C. Stewart died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury. Born in Seaford, her parents were the Levin and Marjorie Walker. She was raised by the late Mitchell and Elizabeth "Bessie" Jones.
A graduate of James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury, she received nurse training in New Jersey and was a Certified Nurse Assistant at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital and an office manager for 33 years for Peninsula Cardiology Associates. After retiring, she worked for Boscov's and Salisbury University Dining Services. She was a member of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church, serving on the Culinary and Women's Day Committee.
She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Turner, Etta Dashiell and Yvonne Walker; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Stewart; a stepson, James Stewart Jr.; and brothers, Vernon Cottman-Walker and Garland Walker.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, at St. James A.M.E. Zion Church in Salisbury. Inurnment was at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury.
Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
