CAMBRIDGE — Casey Todd, Crisfield native and Holland Island historian, will share years’ worth of research and family history as part of History Matters- Dorchester, on June 20 at noon.

This offering of the Dorchester County Historical Society will be held on its campus of the Heritage Museums and Gardens of Dorchester at 1003 Greenway Drive in Cambridge. This event is free and open to the public.

Early in 2018, work began on the Holland Island Heritage project with dozens of contributors from around Maryland. All of them share a connection to Holland Island which is now uninhabited. Most have ancestral connections but several have the distinction of owning the Island over the years. The Dorchester County Historical Society has been working to help capture these histories and is coordinating programming and an exhibit that will open in October 2018.

Some of Mr. Todd’s work can be found on his website, caseytodd.com, where he has posted family trees as well as photos that he has unearthed. In addition to the Todd family, there is information on the McCoy, Duncan, Price and Parks families that may be helpful to family researchers.
