Terry Preston Schweizer

Terry Preston Schweizer, 54

Terry Preston Schweizer, 54, formerly of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 4, 2007 in Egg Harbor Township.

Born in Crisfield on Aug. 8, 1952, he was a son of Rose Dize Messick of Mount Vernon.

He attended Crisfield Elementary School and later graduated from Oakcrest High School in New Jersey. He was a retail supervisor and a member of the Church of God in Millville, N.J. He loved singing hymns and playing the guitar.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Schweizer of Tuckerton, N.J.; his mother, Rose Dize Messick of Mount Vernon; three sons, Christian, Jonathan, and Benjamin Schweizer; two sisters, Wanda Emely and husband David of Kingston and Debbie Labo and husband Wayne of Crisfield; two brothers, William Schweizer, III and Jerry Messick, Jr., both of New Jersey; a special cousin, Mabel Knierim of Marion; half brothers and sister, David Schweizer, John Schweizer, William Thomas Schweizer, Eddie Schweizer and Katie Turcol; two step-sons; four step-grandchildren; and 15 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by the Rev. Jerry Messick whom he lovingly called "Dad," and also his father, William Schweizer, Jr.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. The Rev. Phillip Morris officiated and was assisted by the Rev. Tim Shawyer. Burial was in Asbury Cemetery in Crisfield.

Arrangements were in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield.
