TILGHMAN ISLAND – The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division has arrested a Talbot County man for charges stemming from an investigation into the distribution and possession of child pornography.

In March 2023, the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division received a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children cyber tip involving the suspect. The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division was assisted by detectives with the Howard County Police Department and learned he had allegedly sent an image containing child pornography to another subject via a social media platform in December 2022.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence and executed the warrant March 31. Additional evidence was recovered from his electronic devices.

The man was arrested on scene and was transported to the Talbot County Detention Center. He was seen by a Talbot County District Court Commissioner and was ordered held without bond.

On April 3, he had a bail review in front of a judge in Talbot County District Court. He remained held without bond, and his case is pending further court proceedings.

Parker Greer Michael Matta, 21, of Tilghman Island, has been charged with one count of distribution of child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography.

The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division was assisted in this investigation by the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, the Talbot County Drug Task Force, the Easton Police Department/Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Crisis Response Unit and the Howard County Police Department.
