Susan Stein Long

SALISBURY -- Susan Carol Stein Long died on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at home with her family by her side. Born in Hollywood, Calif., she lived her entire life in Salisbury. She is predeceased by her parents, Sam Stein and Ginny Stein. She was a graduate of Wicomico High School in 1958, where she excelled in academics and sports. She attended Wesley College. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald Long of Salisbury; her daughters, Michelle Louk of Norfolk, Teresa Rutherford of Newport News and Sheila Cook of Salisbury; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Michael Stein of Salisbury and Greg Stein of Naples, Fla.; a sister, Judy Stein of Ocean Pines; and several nieces and nephews. She loved volunteering at the Opportunity Shop, a ministry of Asbury UMC. A Service of Life and Resurrection was held Monday at Asbury United Methodist Church in Salisbury. Interment followed at Parsons Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
