Susan Kauwenberghs-Turner Susan Kauwenberghs-Turner passed away on November 16, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 12, 1965 in Penn Yan, N.Y. and later moved with her mother to New Jersey. Susan and her family moved to Pulaski, VA where Susan was very active in her schools' gymnastics team. She won many awards in her middle and high schools' competitions. Susan and her family moved to Salisbury where she was active on Parkside High School's track team. She graduated in 1983, and attended Salisbury University. She graduated from Woodbridge Business School, and later moved to Mahopac, NY, where she became a volunteer fireman. Susan was always interested in the medical profession, moving to Albuquerque, NM where she graduated from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in 2003. She was a Doctor of Acupuncture, and frequently donated her services to veterans who could not afford to pay. Susan is survived by her daughter, Maya, of Albuquerque, NM; her parents, George and Barbara MacNamara, Salisbury; two brothers, Glen (Tracey), and James N. (Jenny Williams) ; two nieces and a nephew, Alexandra, Sarah, and Isaac; and numerous cousins. Susan had many friends in Albuquerque, Salisbury and other states who were her strong supporters throughout her illness. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Dorothy and Lester MacNamara, Ada and Richard Booz; two uncles, Edlen and James A. MacNamara. Susan donated her body to medical science. There will be a service at a later date.
