SALISBURY - Susan Briele Porter died on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Atria Assisted Living. She was born in Baltimore, where her father, Henry A. Briele, was completing his medical training in the Army. After Dr. Briele's discharge from the Army he, his wife, Nina H. Briele, Susan and her brother Henry A. Briele Jr.moved back to Salisbury. She graduated from Wicomico Senior High School in 1960 and from the University Of Maryland School Of Nursing in 1964. For more than 20 years Susan was a dedicated Critical Care Nurse at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. When she retired in 2003, she was the Clinical Manager of the Coronary Care unit. She was a past president and life member of the PRMC Junior Auxiliary Board and member of the Wicomico Garden Club, Green Hill Yacht & Country Club and Bethesda United Methodist Church. She married her high school sweetheart, John Toulson Porter, in 1965. She is survived by daughters, Jennifer Willing of Salisbury and Amanda Mumford of Baltimore; and three grandchildren. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 3, 2015, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
