SECRETARY — Sunnyside Alliance Church in Secretary where the Rev. Mark Brumley is the Senior Pastor, is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Associate Pastor of Youth and Worship: John Wallace.

John is a recent graduate of Nyack College in Nyack, N.Y. with a B. A. degree in Youth and Family Studies. He plans to work toward a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

John was born in Ithaca, N.Y. and spent his childhood in many different towns as his father ministered in various churches. The family moved to Africa where John’s father served churches in Malawi, South Sudan and Kenya. This enabled John to gain experience in cross-cultural ministry. He will begin his ministry at Sunnyside on Sept. 1.

The resume’ submitted by John states: “My vision for Sunnyside Alliance Church is to foster a community of discipleship and provide a safe and welcoming space for worship. I want to nurture an environment where we as leaders are continually reaching out to students and walking alongside them. My goal is to train students to eventually be able to go out and disciple others as well.”
