Stanley Ray Pete Sr.

SALISBURY - Stanley Ray Pete Sr. died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at his home after almost two years of battling lung cancer. Born in Milford, he was the son of the late Eugene and Dolores Dean Pete.
In 2006, he started S.R. Pete & Sons Inc. and remained its president until his passing. He was a longtime sponsor of the Chesapeake Cowboys Boat Docking and the Delaware International Speedway. He was a member of the Delmarva Umpire Association and was a Coach and Umpire for the Delmar Little League, Pony League and Colt League for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy L. Pete; four children, Stanley Ray Pete Jr., Crystal Lynn Foote, Ashley Marie Calder and Joseph Swain Pete; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce Pete. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Joseph Pete Jr.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial was in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Delmar.
